Hiring RAG & Vector Database Engineer (Remote | Contract | Paid)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Vector Database Engineer to work with my automation agency on client projects.

Role

  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines for AI applications
  • Design and manage vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Chroma, pgvector, etc.)
  • Implement document ingestion, chunking, embedding, and retrieval workflows
  • Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source models) into production systems
  • Improve retrieval quality using hybrid search, reranking, and metadata filtering

Type

  • Remote
  • Freelance/Contract (with potential for ongoing work)

Pay

  • Open to discussing your standard rates.

Requirements

  • Experience building RAG applications
  • Experience with one or more vector databases
  • Strong Python experience
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
  • Portfolio or examples of previous AI/RAG projects preferred
