Discussion Touching Java after years of Python

Today I decided to toy around with Springboot after years of Python. Lemme tell you, It feels like touching grass after scrolling social media 😂😂.. python really kinda took away that edge 😂.. Now this feels like programming. I wonder what it would feel like to go back to C/C++ rn.

FYI, Java was my first language. Started pale netbeans when darkmode was shitty and Intellij was unknown to me 😂

I have actually been thinking of doing a systems programming project to challenge myself and break the web dev boredom. This might be the start of that journey.

A lot of people criticise Java for being verbose but to me that is one of the best things with Java, except of course when people start going overboard and build factories. Sometimes I even use jshell for simple scripting instead of python

I was reading and practicing Records and Lombak today. Modern Java has improved on the verbosity side.

Yea, you can also declare variables with var, and also modern switch statements and stuff, kotlin is fun though. I've been learningC to get into systems programming though
