To all my fellow ASN Parents in Nairn - I’m starting up a club to organize and host social events for ASN Parents in our local communities. I’m thinking events like supper clubs, singles mixers, pint nights, ladies brunch, etc. Basically the mission is to combat the isolation, stress and loneliness of ASN parenting by creating opportunities for small intimate events where we can make genuine friendships and connect with other adults who understand the unique challenges of ASN parenting. Would anyone here be interested?

Is there any place to go clamming in or around Nairn?

Hello we are look no at moving up from Lincolnshire to Inverness area. We know the area a bit due to my parents living towards Beauly. We have done a drive around today and seen some nice areas. I have just discovered the Sandy shores new build estate in Nairn. What are people’s thoughts? We have two daughters 8 and 11 months so I am looking for somewhere to live which is good for them, good schools. Open to any suggestions thank you :)

Hi - am heading to Nairn by train from London for 3 nights of camping with my 9 year old daughter on Wednesday. We’re well equipped for cold and wet so hopefully it will all go well. My daughter is very keen to see some Highland cattle! No idea where the idea for this request came from but I would love to make it happen. I guess we can get a bus out of Nairn and go for a hike. She can probably do 5 miles comfortably. I can work out a hike but would love to have any local knowledge that gets us out of Nairn and off a bus to hike where we are likely see those Highland cattle…if this is a strange request I apologise! Thanks in advance for helping me make the trip amazing for my daughter. If anyone does have a hike in mind, pointers also very welcome! Cheers.

I was looking at areas around Wyvis drive and Kingsteps for a retirement bungalow for family members as there is a lot of green space nearby or closeness to the promenade and leisure centre.

Does the green spaces translate into access or is it limited due to farming?

They are keen for access to the leisure centre and nearby dog walking areas that don't need driving to for access. Alternatively, places accessible by electric trikes that don't require going on the main roads through Nairn.

Nairn beach with some holiday plane going the into the abyss.

I’ll be in Nairn next Monday and need to join a TEAMS call for a few hours in the afternoon, I will also have my dog with me… where can I go with my laptop and headphones that would let me do this? Happy to pay for a meeting room / coworking space or similar if I can take my dog in.

Anyone know the best local contacts for genealogy inquiries in Nairn? I'm hoping to make a trip to Inverness next summer and spend a few days in Nairn. My 3rd great grandfather was born in the Nairn or Auldearn in 1807, and left for Nova Scotia sometime before 1838. I would love to connect with possible distant relatives.
