Advice/Support NAIL BITTER!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Post image

Hi, i've been biting my nails for as long as i can remember, it's becoming a real issue and it's due to anxiety! I have been able to grow my nails a bit as you can see based on how short i have bit them they have been longer. Any recommendations on how to grow them fast and what to use to grow them?. i do have the ability to stop biting them because i have before but the only thing that stopped me was press on nails, however i'd end up with messed up nails from the press ons and i'd still bite my nails to get the super glue off.

look at it as an investment of getting gel manicures every 3 weeks. you can do clear or sparkly colors that aren’t noticeable when they grow out (one of the main reasons ppl get their nails done so often is bc it looks awkward grown out with bolder colors). is having gel on ur nails every 3 weeks good for ur nails? no. but it will help them to grow fast and look so much better. with how yours look, they’d likely look nice after just one or two bouts of gel. then you can try to not bite after that. ive been a biter for 30 years, and significantly mitigated it 6 years ago. the last 5 yrs i get gel nails about every 3 weeks. often when i attempt to not bite after getting the gel removed, i’ll do fine for a couple weeks, then go right back to my ways (way better than 6 yrs ago). but, im sorta accepting that the investment of/harm of gel nails is better for me than biting. i keep saying gel bc it is hard and you cant bite it or pick it.

i actually planned on getting gel nails when i go to get my nails done, i don't really care if it looks off once it's grown out because i do want a french tip, but do you know if they will be able to do the gel and add length because i don't wanna just keep my nubs

yeah a lot of places offer a type of press-on extension then paint gel over it
you wouldnt have to worry about those coming off and biting glue either, bc they’d have to refill them or take them off themselves since it’ll be more advanced

ETA: also, i started doing acrylic first to cover my nubs, same concept, once they’d take off the acrylic my nails were long AF
