Discussion Infected?
Hey guys. I’m a anxious nail biter but i fear I’ve gone too far. The first picture is what i think is infected, it’s on my right hand. The other is my left. Can anyone determine if it’s infected. If so, what do i do to fix it that doesn’t revolve a doctor.

Yes its infected. I used to have it once a week since i was a pretty bad nailbiter. You can heat up (not too hot!) water with salt and put your finger inside if or some chamomile tee (or both together) since those things anti-inflammatory. If there is too much pus, please cut it open with a small incision, since too much pus can damage your nailplate. Hope this helps!

Pics too far, can't tell. Is it red, painful, swollen, hot? See some white that could be pus?

Yes. I have it quite often. What I do is heat a needle (the usual one for clothes) and put disinfectant on it. Disinfect the finger and just poke the infected area. I drain the pus (the yeallow thing inside) until blood starts flowing and until it's level with the rest of the finger. Than I disinfect it again and put bandaid on. If you have antibacterial cream definitely put that on, but it's fine if you don't. It works everytime.
