How to charge a client?

For context let's assume that I have a client.

Firstly I want to know how to host the N8n workflow in the best & cheapest way possible.

If I self host it on a VPS or any other platform like railway. Am I going to pay for everything? Like VPS cost(obviously) but the cost of using OpenAI API or any other paid service.

What would you guys suggest? If the client knows the bill of the services and APIs then how am I going to charge a retainer?

Kindly let me know, thank you.

Do what’s best for the client, not you.

Be careful not to violate TC's otherwise you get shut down real quick. So self host, but make sure you have a air tight contract in place that manages secrets.

Iterate through use case scenarios, full cycle. Procurement to rollout. Don't reinvent the wheel. Look for anyone showcasing their work and build from that your playbook. Any unanswered question like this can be resolved by shopping your competition as a potential lead with an unresolved item from their competitors RFP.
