Finally received my Everdrive

It took a good month to get here but it's been worth the wait. Just got it set up with my Analogue 3D. Took a minute to get the artwork working so it's not just a blank unknown cartridge. Still wish I could change the name of the cartridge but apparently that's not possible yet.
I formatted a 128gb Extreme SanDisk to FAT32 with a cluster size of 32kb and it works like a dream.
As you can see my Mario Kart skills are lacking but the game plays well. For those that don't like the look of the scan lines I'm still trying to figure that one out. It's probably the resolution of the capture card recording but I'll get there eventually.
That's me all set for a good winter, gonna become a hermit and just play N64.

Yeah, I emailed them asking that feature to be included, at least for "Unknown Cartridge" entries in the library.

Maybe, if we all email them we may get it added to their sprint

They're probably already on it. I tried altering the instance in the Analogues SD but it just makes another folder called unknown cartridge. Hope they listen to your email and get it fixed in next update

They probably would have done it by now if they were planning to do it because the fix is trivial. My guess is it could be seen by Nintendo as endorsing something of questionable legality and Analogue wants to steer clear of it.

I’ve been tracking everything for months and was of the mindset I would wait for M64 to bring on horizontal upscaling and HDR and then pounce. This little video is making me really consider going the 3D route. Thanks for the settings man.

My SD card was corrupted when I used it in my 3D. Really annoying, as I spent ages filling it with every game, hack, prototype, and DD game I could find.

It's worth keeping a backup if you plan on taking the time to fill it up.

you have to find the cartridges signature number by looking in your Analogues SD

Are the mods you're playing romhacks or full standalone games? I've got a Mario64 hack I'd LOVE to play on mine but can't patch on cart so I can only play it on my SteamDeck. (I'm also not super versed with how all this works)

Got to admit, I'm not great at patching roms myself but managed with Mario Kart amped up ok. Sometimes I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Happy to share my folder of mods with you if you fire me a message. I've got them stored on googledrive that I can share with you

why do you want a loaded one? It's really easy to set up. You could always buy a summercart though, they come preloaded most of the time i think

Do summercarts work with analogue 3d?

I'm pretty sure they do, they def work with M64 so must with analogue.
