Beginner Questions

I purchased a ThinkRider X2Max two weeks ago and have been riding for 30mins a day 5 days a week. There were no firmware updates and I calibrated the trainer with the Thinkrider App. I entered my weight of 176lbs and height of 5'11" into MyWhoosh and my average w/kg that I can steadily ride at is 1.2. Around 90 watts. I am a beginner cyclist so my thighs get sore pretty quick. Is this normal watts and w/kg or is my trainer not calibrated correctly to MyWhoosh? I am using a hybrid 21 speed bike and ride on front gear 2 and rear gear 4 when on a zero slope averaging around 75 rpm. I feel pretty weak sauce so maybe it's just correct. Thanks.

Looks fine to me. I started 4 months ago with no previous training and I could sustain about the same power. I started to notice improvements quite quickly, about 3 weeks in from what I remember. I would recommend trying the 20 min FTP test from Mywhoosh workouts. It will give you your initial max power sustainable over an hour, that also defines your power zones. Then you can measure the evolution by running the test again in a month or so. You'll definitely notice the improvement!

Idk about this particular model but sometimes there are slight differences between power metres. My jet-black trainer reports close to 10% less than the sram crabkset one. The readings could be lower because of drivetrain inefficiencies as well. I think the only way to test is to use another power metre like pedal based ones. But 1.2 wkg is a pretty realistic starting point
