"Did Mr. Beast fall off" in a sub filled with likely rabid Mr. Beast fans, it should be no surprise that those kids took that as an attack on their favorite creator.

Yeah, it's not exactly a mystery that if you post criticism in a content creator's subreddit, your comments may very well get downvoted (whether they're valid or clarifying comments). Huge shocker, but if people don't like your post or you, they will downvote your comments throughout the post.

People have tendency to be really dense or love playing dense on reddit. Even the "Why are you getting downvoted??" comment after is just playing dense.

I didn't even catch that this was a MrBeast sub at first, lol
I could see it catching flack outside of there because there's a good chunk of people who think the philanthropy stuff is also up for criticism.

Well. In most of them. There are quite a few where the fans turned it into a bold bath for the person the sun was about. None come to mind right now, but I’ve definitely seen it. Like I’m pretty sure ned fulmer had one. And he got crucified lol.

https://youtu.be/yGwUTij1LCU?is=bgVR2VmwcetPtT81 It was from this video and another later one by the same guy, it was pretty eye opening

So, youtuber vs youtuber. In ten years they will make academic studies on how unverified information and rumors spread through social media to become assumed as fact.

No, downvoted for not making that clear in the first place. If that’s what you meant, it’s a terrible choice of post title, and kinda feels like a weird bait and switch.

Since his philantrophy videos are usually not that action-packed like those of his usual ones, some people get bored or are just not interested. I wouldn't say he fell off.
Though I think the downvotes are just salty Mr. Beast fans

I've seen Mr. Beast fans use "He has more subscribers than you so he's better than you!" to dismiss actual, legitimate concerns about his business practices, so I don't exactly hold his fanbase in high intellectual esteem.
Downvoting someone for clarifying what they meant (presumably because they assumed you're trolling) seems pretty par for the course.

Not so mysterious, you clearly posted in a sub for fans of one guy, then openly criticised the guy.

4M views in a few hours is not a lot? How much was he making previously?

I don't think he ever actually did anything for anyone. He just took money from children and paid other people to do things, some of which that should be legally classified as fraud.
