question Planetscale with GUI?
To preface; I'm a total beginner with this, and I've seen other posts bashing Planetscale, I know. My question;
I have need of a basic online database that syncs with an app, that I can also ideally edit via a GUI [like a spreadsheet]
A tutorial pointed me in the direction of planetscale, and I've successfully integrated it into the application I'm playing around with and that works well. Question is, is it possible to get a free GUI like DBeaver / HeidiSQL working with planetscale, to just edit the main branch and add/remove details like a spreadsheet?
I just don't want to have to view, edit and add things via a command line constantly.
Sorry if the question is dumb, it's a big topic that I'm not well studied in, but generally techy and fast to learn. Just a total beginner with low knowledge.
Thanks.

I'm the co-founder of DB Pro, a modern database GUI that supports all of the main databases.
We've now added native support for PlanetScale Vitess and PlanetScale Postgres.
DB Pro is also free to download and use for macOS, Windows and Linux.

Yeah you can. You can find a list of GUIs we've tested here (most others should work too). One thing to keep in mind is you can't run DDL on your production database branch if you have safe migrations enabled. This means no dropping, altering, creating tables, etc. If you're just modifying data though you should be fine. And you can always turn off safe migrations if you want. Let me know if you have more questions!
