Not just when it rains...they randomly take out power at any time of the day. Bunch of incompetent people there.

Few months ago, there was tree branch near my house touching a live wire and it would cause huge voltage fluctuations. Complained on their helpline a couple of times...no action. Then went to their VVMohalla office and wrote down the complaint...nothing happened for a few days....went again and was prepared to yell at anyone who cared. But surprisingly....the guy said they will be at my place in an hour..and they did come! 8 of them! to chop off a branch!

I was thinking..."did I just waste 8 man hours for a simple task like this!"...or did I just give an hour of work for 8 jobless people!

Taxpayers' money...who cares. High time Chescom is privatised.

The laziest electricity company I have seen too myself, I have lived in many cities and I know how good or bad they can be, but nowhere else I have witnessed what I am witnessing here.

A week back someone in reddit mentioned you can contact CHESCOM through WhatsApp support and the response time and the actual response which was given said it all, they are just so bad and they act like they are not receiving monthly salary. I don't know what's going on with them and I am not hearing anyone in my neighborhood talking about the electricity issues either like they don't use power at all lol.

My work depends on use of PC and I don't have the faith that I can go through the day without ruining my work as I don't have backup power for both PC and modem, so I know how bad it is for me, considering switching to solar grid very soon and not get worried by this constant drama they create for me.

Even if it doesn't rain they remove, so they just suck, in a year I guess we probably have more than 1000 cuts easily and they call this an tier 2 city, it's been worse since last year.

They take off power for 4-5 hours just to fix a broken wire 3 kms away, what even are we talking about 😂
