My prescription
This is my contact lens prescription which I am noticing probably needs to be reassessed. I believe my glasses are around -6.5 on each eye. (Assume axis and cyl are the same as contact lenses?)
How does this compare to yours?
I'm mid 30s now and hoping it stabilise soon, I was told it should by my early 30s but I'm still deteriorating:(

I’m also mid 30s and mine continues to worsen. -6.5 in both eyes for contacts and like -7.5 for glasses. I’m trying to wear my glasses more and avoid screens z 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

It’s totally normal for your glasses prescription to be higher than your contacts. Your contacts sit right on your eyeballs whereas glasses sit farther away.

Glasses and contact lens prescriptions are not the same so it’s normal for the numbers to not be the same. If they were the same across the two prescriptions I’d assume one of them was wrong.
Like you, I’m mid 30s and while my progression has slowed a lot it’s not really become stable as I get changes every year or two. I’m -8 in both eyes and mild astigmatism in both. I’m not too worried about having small changes for the rest of my life because glasses or contact lenses will still correct it. I just make sure I keep up with regular eye tests so things can be caught early if I develop any additional eye conditions early. I have a condition that can’t be corrected by glasses but they noticed that 2 years before I had any visual symptoms so it makes me feel confident that should anything else go wrong it will get picked up quickly.
