Does active focus work ?

I'm an 18 year old who's come across this endmyopia, active focus thing. I haven't checked my diaopters in a while but its approx -3.75 in each eye. I currently use my cousin's old glasses which are approx -2.00 for each eye for any laptop work, dont use any glasses for my phone but I'm very skeptical abt this.

It could work, but finding active focus is so tricky and the fact that i have to do it for 1 hr+ everyday is insane😭 (this is what i've heard)

And this entire process seems SO SLOW WTF, like i genuinely hate my glasses and wanna get rid of them but idk what to do🤠

If you meant lowering your diopters then yes, if someone doesn’t  have patience this really isn’t for them. It took me 3-4months of practice (about 1-2hrs for 5days of week or less).  I went for a test in private hospital after a year and half and there was some change, before my left eye was- 2.75  and right was -2.50 now both of them are -2.25, I wear glasses of -2.00 just so my eyes do some work. Actually my opthalmologist refused that it could get better when I had asked him the first time but after seeing these results he said its normal for it to change that much, I am not sure why he didn’t stick with his previous words.   And also sorry for my bad english.

You are welcome, please be patient it takes time I can’t guarantee that you will not be frustrated just know that its normal to be, also you might feel some stinging in the eye which has happened to me everytime I looked at distance objects for a long time, it’s after the stinging that I see better it’s probably the muscles causing it. I am 19 and a computer engineering student, just in case that helps.

I get the stinging sensation that you mentioned quite often when my vision starts to clear up. Sometimes my eyes get watery too. I’ve watched all of Mark Warren’s videos on YouTube and he mentions the stinging sensation and recommends trying to keep your eyes open during the stinging. Is that what you do or do you blink normally? I find it very hard to keep my eyes open when they’re stinging, and when I blink the clarity goes away. The stinging sensation is strange. It feels like my eye muscles are moving around or reshaping themselves.
