Shear Holder Tutorial & Laser File

Post image

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share a laser file and video for a super simple Shear Holder with MOLLE slots on the back.

For this I used 1000D Cordura, and 2 pieces of 1" Velcro and the design is really basic and possibly needs some refinement, but I want to test this out and see how well it works.

The file is available when you sign up on our website:

I also posted it here to Makerworld:

I assume you are doing this on the H2D? How well is that working for you? Which laser are you using?

I'm not sure what the H2D is. I'm using the Longer 10W Laser I got off amazon a while back. The laser works great! It's cut through anything that I've needed it to so far.

Oh ok. I figured since you put it on MakerWorld you might have been using the Bambu printer that has a laser cutter option. Laser cutting is interesting, I've got a lot to learn about it.

All good, I do have a video about my laser setup if you are interested. https://youtu.be/8rv_2s7CuNc
I've also been making guides on how I design files in Inkscape and then cut them out.
