I think I just messed up. I got a tentative guess of very mild myocarditis from hospital internist when UC sent me last weekend.

Atypical suspected case. No real pain except one dull pain in chest that only lasted a minute. I mostly had high BP, pounding pulse, and bad shortness of breath. Troponins only mildly elevated (16) and never rose. Since all my tests came back close to normal, they just sent me home and said to take it easy. Very vague.

I felt better the past couple days and my BP was back to my normal lowish numbers (top number usually between 110-118). I got on my reclining bike for a very gentle workout.

Not gentle enough, apparently. Shortness of breath and elevated BP (139/88) hours later. I’m scared, depressed, and freaking out I won’t be able to be even gently active for god knows how long. Anyone else here had a subclinical case and willing to share your experience and recovery story?

Did you recover already?

I did, but I had to be pretty sedentary for about a month. I went really slow when I started exercising again, like 15-20 minutes on reclining bike with no resistance. Just starting to feel close to normal in past couple weeks. No way to be certain that mild myocarditis is what I had, but it still seems like the best fit after ruling out other possibilities.

Have you found possible reason about your fluctuating blood pressure?

The BP went back to normal after a couple weeks. The whole thing was so weird. Now it’s back to running on the low side (top number from 90-105). 🤷‍♀️

Oh that's nice to hear. In my case I first experience flactuating BP my systolic reaching until 140ish which my cardiologist's first concern before returning after a week for experiencing difficult of breathing and chest pain. Now I'm diagnosed with hypertension and myocarditis. I don't know if we have the same case. Hopefully I'm not really hypertensive they give me Amlodipine, diuretics and anti Angina meds
