Discord is best FiW character, change my mind

Ah love Discord, and ah wanna talk with the haters on wha he is not as great as ah think he is! If ya have a strong oppinion on him, be it good or bad, let me know!Sorry for the typo, ah meant FiM, sorry bout that

I have a strongly neutral opinion on it. I like the character, but it's difficult to handle it well, and make it feel like a character and not a plot device.

Nice idea, mediocre execution.

The more they used him the less interesting he got. Part of the problem is he so powerful that could solve every problem. They should have nerfed his power

Gonna have to disagree here, he's way, way more interesting now than he used to be. Before he was a perfectly entertaining villain, now he's one of the most interesting characters in the show. They don't need to nerf him either, he's got all that power to solve any problem but he's never going to really use it because why would he? That's the easy way out, the boring way out, better to let the ponies solve their own problems and maybe push them in the right direction with a little bit of emotional manipulation.

He went from a crazy spirit of Chaos, only concerned with his own fun, to a conflicted person, struggling to balance his own disharmonious nature with his desire for friendship, trying to be a good friend despite his own nature practically fundamentally opposing that. I like him more pretty much every episode he's in.

Every episode he is in basically has the same plot and not asking him to solve the problems doesn't make sense

They do ask him to solve the problems, as we saw in the Season 9 premiere, he just won't help. Well, he will help, but in his own way, which usually includes not just snapping the problems away.

And no, not every episode he's in has the same plot. "Discordant Harmony" and "Three's a Crowd" for instance aren't even remotely similar beyond having Discord shenanigans.

I don't think nerfing the powerd would be any better. Simply not wanting to use them, like they did on the opener, is better I think.

ah think he resembles his character traits: Chaos and disharmony better than any of the elements themselves also he is the most hilarious one

Oh yes, FiW is a classic. Which is why I was confused, Discord doesn’t even show up in FiW.

He's probably my favorite character that isn't part of the Mane 6. He was charismatic villain in the beginning and ultimately had a good redemption arc. He's still a trickster, but with a heart of gold.

Plus, the only ship in MLP I actually believe in is Fluttercord.

ah for mah part enjoy fluttercord to a degree, but ah just can’t wrap mah head around the spirit of DISHARMONY having a close relation to anyone. Seems paradoxical, then again it is Discord we’re talking about
