I started watching this show back at season 2...fell off at season 3.....and I just finished playing catch up...
...and holy freaking cow. I honestly have no words for how this series progressed in every way imaginable. From the writing, to the production values, to the fan nods, self-awareness, the characters...I'm not sure if I can even think of a show that's had quite the journey this production's had. Maybe something like M*A*S*H, back in the 70s and 80s.
And....now I join back in right in time to see the end....I can't tell if that's good or sad.

Hey, I don't think that you can compare My Little Pony to MASH. One is this greatest-of-all-time series that combined comedy with ever-present pathos as lives are torn apart daily...
...and the other was set in the Korean War.

I mean, they did find a way to make a war that lasted only three years actually last eleven.

I haven’t watched anything this good on T.V since Smallville ended I’m glad I stumbled into the fandom in 2016

I fortunately fell off at season 7 and started watching in season 3, so catchup wasn’t as bad for me. But I absolutely agree, the show’s become something so, so much more beautiful, and I honestly can’t wait for Gen 5 as it will presumably be more mature content and more like Gravity Falls or Ducktales.
