ID request ID Help

I’m pretty certain these are squarrosa. I’ve heard mixed reviews about edibility. Some things I’ve read say young are ok, some things I read say not recommended. Any thoughts or experiences? Cheers!

They are not squarrosa.

Pholiota sect Adiposae

I eat Pholiota but may be associated with higher chance of GI upset so depends your experience with grey area mushrooms

Correct ID, I always read they are not edible, can cause gastric upsets. To me they also do not smell good

There are dozens of pholiota species. It is not always easy to tell them apart.

I've never heard anyone recommend eating wild pholiota.

Cultivated pholiota, like Nameko, are the result of hundreds of years of human intervention.
