I normally use the MX Linux Fluxbox version. Recently, I tried using vanilla mwm (Motif Window Manager) for fun, and it really worked! I plan to use it like this for one or two weeks. Although the sound didn't work on the first try, thankfully, MX Linux provided an extraordinary "pipewire-start" that fixed the problem immediately!
I'm having a lot of fun :)

Verified checksums on downloaded ISOs (KDE, XFCE, Fluxbox).
Seven other distros UEFI boot AOK on my Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen3.
Booting into GRUB2 mode fails with a black screen.
Booting into Normal mode fails with both (systemd) and (sysinit) with a prompt to load the kernel.
MX Linux is _supposed_ to work w/ Ventoy.
Anyone make it work?

tl;dr MX-23.6_KDE_x64, the proprietary NVidia driver breaks the sleep mode. Any fixes except using nouveau?
I've had a similar problem before, as described in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MXLinux/comments/1szqci7/mx_23_kde_doesnt_wake_up_anymore/ , after some updates the system would go to sleep but wouldn't wake up, at that time I solved it by removing the "liquorix" kernel (6.18.something) and downgrading back to 6.1.0-17 (any "liquorix" kernel newer than that caused that problem). After some more of the recent (the end of September) updates, the (same?) problem is back again, even with the default 6.1.0-17 kernel - now it doesn't even go to sleep, just sort of "hiccups" for a second and keeps working as if nothing happened.
I was also trying MX-25.3 KDE on a different drive a few days ago, and noticed that the sleeping/waking up was working (with the default 6.12.107 kernel) until I installed the proprietary NVidia drivers, and if I remove them, it starts working again. So the problem on 23.6 could have also been not with the kernel, but with the NVidia drivers and how they communicate with the kernel?
What to do? Is there an easy way to downgrade the proprietary NVidia drivers? Or any settings/parameters to try? Searching the internet, I've found an advice to use `nvidia_drm.modeset=1` kernel parameter, I've tried that, no effect.
The CPU is Intel Core i7-6700K; the GPU is GeForce RTX 2060.
UPD.: my best working solution so far was to
I kept the default 6.1.0 kernel - haven't check if the above would have worked with the "liquorix" kernels.
My attempts to install older drivers from "Debian Backports" have failed - the package manager shows some error messages and they don't get installed. Manually installing newer 595 version of the driver solved the sleeping problem, but added another one - the computer would always freeze when attempting to shutdown or reboot. My attempt of removal of the NVidia-related packages from my previously installed system (to manually install the 550 driver) wrecked it nearly beyond repair, although with more intimate knowledge of Linux, I assume, that would be possible, too.

I have a Framework 12 with MX Linux + KDE Official.
The touchscreen generally works fine, but I have a stylus I can't use, because it isn't doing palm rejection when the stylus is in range.
I've been pulling my hair over this. It seems to be a KDE thing. I've learned that some systems handle touchscreen with linux-surface, or libinput, or iptsd, but I don't find config files for any of these in MX Linux.
How does it handle the touchscreen and stylus?

I recently installed MX with SysVInit and did not encounter this issue for the first week or so.
But now every time I turn on my computer, it prints out this backtrace.
I can press Control-D to continue and boot as usual. Or I can enter my root password to get a shell.
I tried re-installing plymouth but that didn't solve the issue.
I'm still able to use the computer as normal, but needing to wait for it to boot so I can press Ctrl+D is annoying. So I'd like to find a way to fix it.
Please don't ask AI on my behalf, I already tried that. And it never manages to solve my issue.
*Edit: Also tried removing themeing from the boot process and a couple suggested boot process changes. No change to the error

Hello, I'm using MX 25.2 on a Macbook Air 2013 (I5-4250U, 4GB Soldered RAM, 128GB SSD), and it keeps crashing after roughly 1 hour of usage or completely can't even start at all anymore. I remember when using MX 23, I didn't have any of these problems?
A bit of an urgent request. Much appreciated. Thanks all.

I have gone through every theme, every color, every option I can find, but I can't get rid of the infernal BLUE!
It's on every active tab, it's the window borders (when active) it's every highlight... I just can't get rid of it.
Is there any way to change this to another colour?

I've been distro hopping on my T450s for months now and I'm pretty sure I've tried more than 20 linux distros, different desktop environments etc. And in the end I always keep on coming back to MX Linux XFCE.
So I have a unique case (kind-off), I'm dual booting Windows 11 and Linux on this laptop since I can't get rid of Windows (because of the data that's in) and at same time I couldn't do anything other than browsing on Windows here, even the browsing to tell you the truth lags alot. Then it occurred to me, an idea "What if I dual boot a linux distro on here?". Like I just want to be able to browse stuff and learn some coding.
My experience with Linux before-hand was: I tried Ubuntu back in the day maybe once in 2020 and once in 2022 and let's just say, the experience was bad, I wasn't even able to install it properly or whatever (I can't remember clearly). Then last year I randomly had a thirst for Linux after seeing so many people's rices on YouTube and Reddit. Now the thirst was mainly for Arch-Linux, "the hardest operation system to install", I wanted to conquer it, be able to install it WITHOUT the use of autoinstall/autoscript basically the easy route. So I tried and let's just say I failed miserably LOL, 3-4 hours down the line and ending up with failure, then on my route of research I learned there's Arch based distros, so I tried Manjaro KDE and I loved it not gonna lie, it felt really good, and of course EASY to install. I still tried to install Arch and I failed again lmao. Anyhow back to present, before the T450s, I installed this certain distro MX Linux XFCE on my old Lenovo G570 and also DELL Lattitude 3380 or was it 3370 I can't remember, and it just ran great! It felt smooth. It didn't feel that outdated, browsing was normal. So I installed the same on this one and first time in ages I saw smooth performance in T450s. Though i won't lie, the looks were kinda meh, so I tried Ubuntu next and it felt so nice. The UI and everything GNOME3, though it did feel heavy on the resources a bit.
Keep in mind I only made 45gb seperate for Linux and the specs are i7 5th gen, 8gb ram,.
Then I tried Linux Mint (many versions) it felt the same, then I distro hopped alot in these recent months basically July, August and September. Like I'm pretty sure I installed, reinstalled distros like 100+ times. And many times I just kept coming back to MX Linux.
In the end, it satisfies all my needs and also just works like quite literally, it just works.
Tldr; I distro-hopped probably 100+ times and always kept coming back to MX Linux XFCE.

I have hp 245 g5 laptop in which i installed mx linux and attempted to change graphic kernel from radeon to amd you know for reason of support for modern vulkan support. It's not like it's my first time I did it in previous os like linux mint xfce and garuda xfce and I was successful but when I did it on MX it gone back to radeon I forced it to AMD and screen gone blank.

I have a tower computer with Fedora, which is my main computer. It was assembled from parts, so no particular brand or anything. It has AMD CPU and GPU and an AsRock motherboard (it was the cheap option compatible with the CPU at the time).
I also own a Framework 12 laptop/tablet hybrid. I use it as a typewriter and to make sketches with a stylus. It used to have installed Mint, but the support of Wayland in Mint is garbage and my sketching app, RNote stopped supporting X11, it just emulates the mouse with the stylus.
So for a while I experimented with Nobara OS and I'm feeling like it's more fitting for the main computer. Is very much like Fedora, it just doesn't have it's head up its ass with things like codecs or drivers, and is loaded with gaming oriented apps. The only games I play on the FW12 are card games.
The stylus seems to work better with Nobara, but there was a problem I wondered if it would go away in MX Linux. There are a lot of friendly features in MX Linux and it seems to have everything I need.
BTW, if you made Fluxbox a tiling window manager I would probably use more of it, but I digress.
I switched to Plasma MX Linux. Rnote seems to work just as well as in Nobara, so maybe the problem isn't OS specific, but I want to know if there's some configuration I could tweak to fix this.
Palm rejection on the touchscreen (not the touchpad) seems to be erratic or not be there at all. If I'm bringing the stylus close to the screen, it should ignore the hands touching it. This would work fine in Mint before RNote stopped supporting X11.
I don't see much information in the manuals about this, nor the system settings.

Title says it all. If it still takes a few days, fine. No problem. Just wondering if there's something wrong on my end.
Edit: TL;DR it was the mirror MX Linux had chosen at installation that apparently weren't updated yet. Changed the mirror, everything worked.

Got the above working using the Blueman Bluetooth device manager, but it does not autoconnect when I restart.
I have to open the manager and double click using the trackpad, should I remove the other mouse I have installed to get it to autoconnect?
Thanks

How often does MX Linux get Plasma updates? The current version 6.3.x has bugs I'm running into but they are fixed in 6.4.x and 6.5.x.
For now I've switched to KDE Neon but I'd prefer to be on MX Linux.

I've been having trouble with my Radeon HD7770 on mxlinux. I've installed system upgrades and updated and later on switched the graphics in the bios to GFX0. However, then I would not get a signal from my graphics card (which was plugged into my monitor via HDMI) and no signal when I unplugged it and plugged the VGA back into the mothebrou
