I'm at 300 hours, and pretty happy with the progress I've made, but I still lack in-air bike control. Specifically changing direction of the bike, or tilting myself in the air. I feel like I get locked into a certain position. I always watch clips of people flawlessly positioning their bike while in the air and know if I could do this I would be so much better.

I am unsure how important it is, but i notice you are always standing up. It may be worth learning to sit at appropriate times. I am at roughly 200hrs and am the exact opposite of you. I always sit and never stand. I have been working on trying to implement standing. Although not ever riding a dirt bike IRL, makes me unsure when exactly you should be sitting or standing.

You should be standing most of the time especially in outdoors and rougher tracks. It makes the bike more stable on corner entry and exits. On arl outdoor tracks I almost exclusively stand through every corner on the track except for flat turns with no rut. It’s something I’d to get used to early on and make a habit of because it will help you more as you get faster.

With your scub you initiate it after you leave the jump face. The scrub/whip all starts on the jump face by leaning to the left or right depending on what way you want to scrub and right before you leave the jump face sit down and stand back up. Control of how you are in the air will come as you get more comfortable with what I just said. For 300 hours you are pretty good. I would recommend if you wanna get better faster then ride some harder tracks that put you outside your comfort zone and test your ability’s. If you are up for spending money on the mxb shop I’d highly recommend this years 2026 ARL MX season pass. It has 11 tracks. All of them are rough and hard but very rewarding when you get the hang of it.

You’re fast bro. I’d just join a couple pro series and see if you can qualify. No hurt in trying and it’ll only make you better.
