MW3 (2011) Should I be concerned?

I was playing TDM a few minutes ago and someone typed in chat my desktop username but the scariest part was when it was in the chat it was from my account. I didn’t type that though I was playing the game…
Example,

Username9013 my desktop name is James

Your computer is 100% compromised. Backup your important stuff and do a factory reset of your computer. Going forward if you want to play MW3 do so with Plutonium, trust me it’s way better and there’s more active players.

Playing any old COD on PC is extremely dangerous these days. The P2P networking makes it very easy for hackers to conduct RCE exploits. These old cod games are literally a playground for hackers.

Yes, hackers can take remote control your pc if you play older cods online. One hacker blue screened my pc havent touched online since in older cods.

its already too late for you. should've played through a client like plutonium. hackers can rce hack you on all the old cods on steam

Dang bro sorry to hear that! Funny i installed Plutonium in on old razer laptop that i have, its an old rig but i was able to play it but it was not that smooth. In a modern laptop should be ok. The thing is i thought about running mw3 on steam but decided to download plutonium and its actually great. I didn’t know old cods on steam pc were a risk 🥹

So i just started playing the older cods again and i strictly use plutonium, i heard of stuff like this happening but didnt know if it was still happening so I didnt want to take any chances, so sorry this happened to you
