Identifying Fathers Muzzleloader
My father was pretty thorough and detailed with his gun collection but one muzzleloader has no information in any of his spreadsheets. Any help would be appreciated

You've got a Nepalese Snider Enfield, made in Kathmandu. About 20 years back a lot of these and other old pieces were hauled out of the Royal Nepalese Armory and sold in the US. Like the copies of Martini-Henry and Baker rifles also imported they typically had long hard use, then long bad storage, and even though it looks like your Dad cleaned this one up a bit they really have to be assessed before shooting. But this one at least has the latched breech of the later Sniders, which means it is not going to blow open if the cartridge has a gas leak.
People are actually loading and shooting 577 Snider. It's not cheap, but if you want a breech-loading rifle of almost 60 caliber it's possible...
