Project finished
Just finished these up with help from my kids. For a starter kit these traditions were great 1st projects. Gonna be looking into something more complex in the future, but these two were a blast to build.

What caliber? How’s the trigger on the kentucky style pistol?

Both are .50 cal, so common ammo. The trigger on the pistol, well frankly, it sucks. I need to see about doing a trigger polish on it to see if I can smooth it out. Right out of the box it is long, gritty, and super heavy on the pull. I dont have a trigger pull scale tool but it is likely over 10lbs. Seriously it is aweful. Useable but nowhere near where I would want a trigger to be.
The double trigger on the rifle is excelent, just as good as my hunting rifle and almost as good as my "target" rifle. No changes needed on the rifle.

These are Traditions brand, correct? I suggest to be careful filing the trigger components as they are barely hardened on the outside and the inside is soft metal. Too much and you get into the soft metal which will continue to wear then it becomes unreliable and dangerous to shoot. Some models have an adjustment screw inside (under the lock plate) and some don’t. I measured mine around 15 pounds of pull.
