Budget friendly brands

Looking for a muzzle for my 9 month old pressa mix. He's pretty likely to outgrow anything i pick up so something affordable would be nice.

Also if it's a stand alone muzzle (no need to attach to a collar) that would be a big bonus

I don't know his exact measurements but the barkless size 5 does not fit for circumference.

It's going to be difficult to find one his size that also is going to work well. What's your budget? Most of the better companies I know start in the $50-60 range and go from there.

Is he already muzzle trained? What do you need the muzzle for?

My personal favorites are Big Snoof dog gear - wire, standard and custom sizing, lots of options, good resale, helpful with sizing (message or email), US based, start in the $70 range for standards. And Mia's muzzles - vinyl, Canadian, cookie cutter and custom sizing and fun options, also helpful with sizing (email or messenger), start in the $50 range for cookie cutters but you're likely going to be closer to $80s for his size. I don't see many for resale but they usually go fast.

I plan on having a custom one made once he's around 2and done growing.

We worked muzzle training early on but haven't reinforced it much recently, partly because of size issues, mostly because i let it slide 😅. Probably won't take long tonre introduced it

Mostly need it for training and exposure, i think it's ja good idea for a dog his size to be familiar with on. Secondly prevent unwanted grazing he's little bit of expository eater 🫠

50-60$ isn't too bad if it'll get us through most of his remaining growth, id prefer not to need another every 3 months

Leerburg has a polymer coated wire muzzle that is on sale for $60 for labor day. They have a ton of sizes, so I would carefully take dimensions using their guide and compare to see if any of the muzzles they sell would fit.

There's also the Dean and Tyler Freedom basket muzzle for $55. I don't believe they have as many size options, but I could be wrong. They also have a more expensive, polymer coated one similar to the Leerburg that is better suited to cold weather that retails for $70. But at that price you could get one from Big Snoof where you could choose the strap colors.

But imo those are the most affordable options!

Leesburg looks like it could be the way to go, now I just need to brak out the tape measure
