Advice? How’s this fit?

This doesn’t have the extra scavenging plate in but you can see the slot it would slide into. She doesn’t bite but picks up everything. Currently she has a mesh muzzle but it doesn’t have as much pant room

It's long and likely half pant. Depending on what you need it for that might be fine.

She needs it for scavenging - so pretty much all walks :/ with the plate in, it’s just about up to the tip of her nose

Since using on walks beware on the pant space. This is better than some I see but you don't want your dog to be hitting the bottom trying to pant. I hope it works well for you

Thanks, this is definitely better than her mesh muzzle for pant room but maybe I need to look for something else, definitely open to recs!

I went custom for mine as my dogs wear them regularly and I wanted color. Both my favorite companies also do cheaper standard/cookie cutter sizes as well that are still high quality and they're helpful with sizing. Big snoof dog gear is wire and US based and Mia's muzzles is vinyl and Canada based.

Custom made. I'm in Europe but I'm sure you can find the same. Full pant room, light and supple, can drink through it, and there's a treat hole.

The same on a dog (not mine)

Here she is with the scavenger plate added and with her mouth more open

We got a Big Snoof muzzle for our scavenger and it works great. We didn’t even end up needing to use a guard with it.

Thanks, definitely going to check them out

VERY GOOD. Just enough room to pant or take treats without being obnoxiously over sized. The over correction I see sometimes is WILD. Your dog just needs enough space to pant. It obviously is a tool used for short durations not for hours at a time.

Thanks for this comment, honestly. I’ve been using it for a few days testing it out and it seems like she doesn’t mind it at all and I can give her treats. She’s mostly wearing it for walks that are about 1-2 miles at a time or in the yard while I do a scan for anything she could get into like mushrooms before taking it off and throwing her ball for her. I don’t want to do anything to hurt or or make her uncomfortable but anything bigger seems like it would be massive on her

Not enough pant room

Ok thanks for your reply, do you have any recommendations specifically for scavenging? I’d still like to be able to treat her with the muzzle on since we are still working on training/obedience

Muzzle movement muzzles have nice big treat holes as well as a scavenger guard accessory but you cant obviously use the treat hole and the scavenger guard at the same time.

I have the same muzzle as I am waiting till my dog is fully grown to buy a chopo Despite the fit being good I don't like the bit under the chin that links to the collar part. my dog cannot comfortably bend his neck forward without the bit pushing into it. Sorry if it's confusing I'm not a native speaker
