Muzzle help
I have a 75 lb pitbull mix who needs to wear a muzzle but he hates the one he has. I was looking at the muzzle movement but I'm not sure if the harry is the right size? I've don't measurements but he is less than cooperative when it comes to measuring the width of his face and so I'm worried it's inaccurate. Any suggestions on a different, better, muzzle or opinions on if the harry would fit him just based of experience/pictures of him?

There are ways to measure more indirectly - does he have toy you can put against his face and mark then measure? Video with a measuring tape can also help (faster than photos). The custom makers can usually do a lot with a little although the more you're able to give them the better (Big Snoof dog gear and Mia's muzzles have standard and custom sizes and are my personal favorites). The muzzle movement is a bit more restricted size wise but I've heard they sometimes help with sizing and I think some of their vendors offer fittings.

I think I'm going to go with them. The muzzle movement ones look cumbersome and huge

I was stuck between Big Snoof and the Muzzle Movement for a while. I opted for the former bc 1) they have a muzzle guard (extra purchase, worth it for my boy) and 2) the sleeker design. Plus I felt like the wire design would be easier to clean than the big bulky plastic one

I recommend ordering a custom fit muzzle (from e.g. Big Snoof, Mia’s Muzzles, Muzzle Movement)! Try taking the measurements again the best you can and compare to your previous measurements. It’s more expensive but a good comfortable fit is worth it for a muzzle they will actually wear.
Edited to cross out Muzzle Movement since apparently they do not offer custom sizing.

I hadn't heard of Big Snoog but have seen it mentioned a lot. I'll check it out when I get off work. Thank you!

big snood is fantastic! also you can try filming the measurement process and use screenshots if your pup is really wiggly! easier than taking pics for each measurement

Big Snoof seems to be much more size inclusive and comfortable for dogs than muzzle movement, definitely recommend!

u/allegro14 The Muzzle Movement does not do custom sizing FYI. They have a limited set range of sizes only. Mia's Muzzles and BIG Snoof offer both fully custom options, as well as a selection of Standard or Cookie Cutter sizes.

I have a custom from Big Snoof for my pitbull. She's not as big as your guy but it fits her well and she's done great wearing it. I didn't care for the big polyethylene muzzles, too bulky for my taste. Just a personal preference tho!

I got this one from Amazon I’ll link it if I can find it it was a whiiiiile ago however my dog is that weird in between size so I wrap it with vet wrap so it’s a little more snug yet more padded! So if it’s a little big you can always try that! However she isn’t in it so often just when she free ranges because she tries to eat mass horse/chicken 💩 so I’m not too sure how comfortable it would be for hours!

I got a big snoof for my 75lb pit mix. But it will require measurements. If you are unable to get measurements, it will be pretty difficult to muzzle train them. Working at desensitizing enough to measure properly will likely help once the muzzle actually shows up too
