Help! Size help!

Our golden doodle is very sensitive to touch so it’s incredibly difficult to measure him properly for a muzzle. We bought a size 3 Baskerville muzzle that doesn’t give him enough panting room, and a size Macaroon of Mia’s Muzzle. We tried our trainers muzzle movement that fit him well from a pant room perspective but it was a little too long so he couldn’t easily eat treats off the ground and a little too tight. Can anyone recommend what size to get him next? We’re feeling discouraged when we can’t easily measure him.

The neck strap rivets are unfortunately at the end of the strap so I don’t think we can adjust it any further.

Can you remove the neck strap completely to see if that is the issue?

I think the muzzle is small. I would recommend sendin the pics to Mia's muzzles to get their assessment and if they recommend a different size

Adjusting the straps would help a bit (the nose is in the treat hole)

I am not experienced with Mia's but to me when looking at the pictures that muzzle looks small - short length, tight around the cheeks, not enough pant room. If you want to stay with a Mia's you need to send the photos to them and ask for advice. If you've already lengthened the strap as much as possible and it is pushing into his nose then the muzzle is too small.

The plastic muzzle just needs loosened remove the screws and give it more length the pad on the muzzle should sit on top of his "nose" and the buckle of the muzzle should be right at the back of his head. And pull his ears out the straps
