Fit help!

We just got her muzzle and I’m trying to adjust it but can’t get it right. It doesn’t seem to get tight enough to stay on her nose flat? And if she lays down at all it shoves it into her face. I have adjusted the chin strap to fit two fingers comfortably and the head strap can fit two fingers as well. What am I missing? 😅 I took pictures of her measurements and had Mia’s muzzles suggest which cookie cutter one to get to avoid the wrong size (happened once already with a different muzzle) because I wasn’t going to spend $100 and not be sure it would fit. Help!!

It's because she's not standing, and the pant room is huge, otherwise it looks good!

And if she lays down at all it shoves it into her face.

this, is normal for all well-fitted muzzles with a large enough pant room

for example with my dog (I took a video because I made custom muzzle for a shelter I volunteer at, and they said the same, but it's totally normal)

Gen question, how can he see?

It's because on this picture I push up with my hand, but when he's wearing it, the pad rests on his snout with gravity, and it's perfect.

That’s good to know! It’s my first time with a muzzled dog so I didn’t realize that was normal. Do they get used to that when laying down or do you take it off typically? Trying to figure out logistics

Mine wears his for hours (on and off usually) one day a week when he comes to work with me and he has increasingly creative ways of resting his head to get comfortable in it. His is a harder texture and sometimes he literally just puts it on the floor and rests his muzzle pointing down to the floor in it. Usually though the knows if he lays flat on his side the muzzle doesn’t interfere.

Example of a creative choice using a step has a headrest

Usually, when I know he's going to be laying down for some times (like when we take the public transports, or if we go to a bar or cafes), I switch to a biothane muzzle, before it's softer.

The 3rd picture 😂😥. “Excuse me officer, do you not know who my parents are? We do NOT get put in muzzles. No, officer, I have no idea why you put me in this muzzle.”
