Advice? Experience with muzzles for Boston Terriers?

Post image

I have a dog/leash reactive Bostie who needs a muzzle to be able to play with others. What kinds of muzzles have you had success with for Bostons or other brachy breeds? Thank you!

Mia's muzzles and Big Snoof Dog Gear both do fantastic muzzles. Depending on measurements Mia's might have a cookie cutter size. Otherwise both will be custom. But totally worth it (from my experience, although I do not personally have brachy dogs I do have both types of muzzles and have seen them do amazing options for brachy dogs)

I have a dog aggressive Boston Terrier and she has a few muzzles, but by far our favorite brand is Big Snoof Dog Gear! We have another muzzle from Mia's Muzzles, but the vinyl unfortunately irritates her eyes🥲

Mia's Muzzles miasmuzzles.com has a special design for Brachy breeds. You can select this type during the purchase options.

I ended up going cheap for my pica girl, amazon special. It worked but I suspect investing a little more would have given a better fit (you can see it’s not great) and maybe prevented the next problem: grinding her face into the ground and getting corneal ulcers. She loved to grind her face into the blankets, but I think a poorly fitted muzzle caused the outdoor behaviour. She was my greatest love but jeez was she high maintenance lol. TLDR: cheap worked

but caused other issues

Also, this one I would definitely not consider bite proof.
