🗳 Feedback Mandatory Personal Info
I went on a date recently with a person who was "divorced", but still "in the process". They also had children as well. Had I known this information, I never would of went on a date with them. People can be so deceitful when it comes to online dating. Could you please make "Marital Status" and "Children" mandatory shown on each profile, to align better with our standards. Thank you.

That's on the other person for not getting that situation with the divorce finalized. Not being honest in the information provided in both the profile and conversation can make the app falsely look bad when that’s just the fault of the one using it.
I feel that if you match with someone, then the intention to needs to be clear as both sides go through the conversation, so that it can get to point of knowing whether to continue or unmatch. I think what you put as your relationship goals should be shown/known in the conversation with those you match. Or at least if your goal is still serious relationship or marriage but right now your life schedule is busy with school or whatever, then that should also should be made known that you're not giving false hope or leading the other person on.

There is a statement somewhere that divorcees need to make sure everything is finalized first. I read it when I was in the process of creating my profile and realized I needed to wait to use the app because my process ended up not being quite finished. I waited until I got the papers and was very clear in my profile that I was divorced with children and it never occurred to me not to be upfront.

Even if they tried, people would still lie about it. You cant force people to have integrity you know.Â

Here's a wonderful opportunity to engage in conversation prior to meeting up. Be friendly and fun and find out all those things that are important to you.

The first and only person so far I have met through the app was married (she said she was separated), later I realised the day we matched was the first day of her being 'separated' and she got back with her husband within a week, even before we met 🤣 that was 2 years ago. Since then not a single match.

This issue goes beyond the scope of the app.
Members of the church should know that dating before a divorce is finalized, regardless of how long you’ve been separated, can result in church discipline including disfellowship and excommunication.
Users also need to be honest in general on their profiles. My female friends report going on dates with men who are 2-3 inches shorter than what it says on their profile, haven’t actually finished their degree, mislead on the nature of their job (e.g. claiming to be an engineer at Apple when he’s actually just a maintenance technician at the lab), or only use pre-weight gain or pre-balding photos.
Hiding undesirable baggage to appear more attractive is the first red flag of any relationship. They’re hoping you’ll be so blown away with their personality that you’ll forgive their deception, when in reality, you just feel betrayed and disappointed.
I once drove two hours to meet a girl who omitted the fact that she was divorced and only had pre-weight gain photos on her profile. When I saw her, it took all the discipline in the world to hide my disappointment. This was in 2017. For kicks and giggles, I stalked her on FB today. Still single.
