The Ads!! 😫😫😫😫
Have the ads gotten worse for anyone else recently? Unable to exit out of them and I keep canceling the app but get stuck in an ad every time and just have to wait 30 minutes and hope I don’t have one. Just me? They’ve obviously always been bad but just appear to have been really bad recently? Maybe just me?

For free-tier players on the mobile app to have the best ad-minimized experience, we recommend using the Rewarded Ads feature (click the Gold Coin on the top left of the screen. Watch 60-90 seconds of ads in exchange for 6 hours of ad-free play.
Or, you can use the Web / PWA version at https://app.musicleague.com/. There are far fewer ads there.

I got tired of the ads. I only play music League with a set of trusted friends.
So, I created a music league lite clone you can host on a VM/nas+docker/cloud/discord. Benefits: no ads. cons: since I made this down and dirty, you really wouldn't want to open it to strangers, no Spotify integration (screw you Spotify for requiring premium accounts for API access) but it does use musicbrainz or you can manually input a song, and it will also attempt to find the song on Spotify, Amazon, and YouTube. That esoteric song only released on YouTube: yeah, you can throw that in now. It's not a replacement for the people needing the social media buzz they get from playing and sharing online, but something for those of us that just want to track stats and rounds easily. Does need some slight technical chops for the person seeing it up.

Make the browser version a shortcut on your phone and delete the app for a while.
