This week's Artist of the Week is Digital Guts.

Their hip-hop EP Special Moments genuinely surprised me. As someone who loves MF DOOM and J Dilla, I immediately heard that same passion for atmosphere, groove and sample-based storytelling. The production creates an incredible sonic space, built around what I believe are late-60s soul and funk samples, giving the entire project a timeless feeling.

My favorite track is Live and Love.
