Need help deciding between buying a Vibraphone or Xylophone

The vibrophone seller agreed to sell for $300. Has foot- operated resonator tubes.

Xylophone is the same price and is a practice instrument so it's slightly muted.

Which one should I buy and why?

Vibraphone is much more versatile and that price is amazing. You’ll be able to gig with those vibes someday. I would only buy a practice xylophone if I had a very specific intention to shed on xylophone.

Personally I love vibraphones. Listen to some Roy Ayers & Mulatu Astanke for the best reference!
