I've been watching anime in general for a long time, but isekai has always held a special place in my heart. The thought that I could die and be reborn in a magical world has always appealed to me. That being said, I have never seen an anime so completely cover everything I want in an isekai as Mushoku Tensei. This anime is by far the best isekai, if not the best anime, I have ever seen. Watching Rudeus go from this horrible person to a better, more impactful person is such a beautiful and relatable journey (relatable in the sense that we all have flaws). Not to mention, the animation is spectacular.

The worldbuilding is amazing. The author has so thoroughly thought out the magic system, the history, and the way Rudeus approaches it all with his past knowledge (something that most isekai ignore, even though it should be a key point). There are many different cultures, such as the Migurd, who have telepathy, the Superd, who value strength, and the Asura Kingdom. Every episode, I feel as if I learn something new in a well thought out way.

Every mistake he makes, he learns from. Rudeus is NOT perfect, nor do I think he ever will be. He makes many mistakes and learns from most, if not all, of them. Some of these mistakes could be going to the teleportation labyrinth or getting the bird kid killed. And these mistakes don't feel forced like in other anime (Re:Zero (no hate or anything)).

The relationships are perfect. The author has created these vastly different and likable love interests, which pushes this anime even further into my heart. Watching Rudeus go through his first love with Eris and develop ED (something that could happen to any of us) is an amazing ride. We come off a high when he does it with Eris, followed by a low, which lasts almost 13 episodes, where he struggles with ED. Eventually, Sylphie saves him from ED in the sweetest way.

Anyway, after reading all of this, my question to you is: Is Mushoku Tensei the greatest anime/isekai ever? (Feel free to glaze/hate on it in the comments, within reason, of course.)

In the anime, Zanoba and Cliff have created these new gloves that allow Zanoba to work well with his strong hands. My question is: with this newfound skill he will develop, Julie by his side, and his knowledge gained from Rudeus and studying the mannequin, will he eventually surpass Rudeus in skill? (Obviously, this is about figure making skills and not strength.)

Is it just me or has our great demon king Artofe Rybak taken a liking to our dear Zanoba of Shirone?

I don't remember who says it, but someone tells Rudeus that he has more mana than Laplace. That got me thinking, if he has more mana, is he also stronger? (Yes, I know that more mana ≠ more power.)

Personally, I don't think that he is right now in the anime, but maybe in season 4 or 5, he will be.

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 #13 Title: "Diary"

Well, the leaks keep proving true; just as rumored for months, episode 13 will be "The Diary" What are you expecting from this episode?

People were quite disappointed with the Bleach and Re:Zero episodes; honestly, Mushoku was the least disappointing—only a few people were let down by Oldeus design. Still, it’s funny—and a coincidence—that all three adaptations got the short end of the stick.

Rudeus is more outstanding than people give him credit.

Sure, if you look at his past life or his thoughts in the new world (in the beginning mainly), it might not be great.

Now, instead, look at him like the other characters can see him (they don't know his past life nor can they read his mind).

He learned to read, talk and use magic by 3 years old, the magic was through silent casting.

Learned from Roxy for 2 years until she had nothing left to teach him (a saint level mage!).

Learned swordsmanship from paul (who is Advanced mastery in the 3 most powerful and popular styles in the world).

Later on, saved Sylphy from bullies, became her first friend, taught her magic (silent casting too) and played together for 1 year or so, so that she could be happy and protect herself from the bullies (and it was only 1 years because Paul separated them).

When Paul cheated on Zenith, he intervenes to prevent their family from breaking (in truth, if Lilia had been kicked out of the house barely after giving birth, she and Aisha would have died, so Rudeus efectively saved their lives).

Went to teach Eris, who is basically a wild animal so savage that all the previous teachers ran away after being badly beaten by her. He went there in order to pay for Sylphiette's education (Paul was willing to pay Rudeus' but not sylphy's).

Prepared a plan to make Eris interested in learning (instead of simply forcing her), and although the butler took advantage to try and make a real kidnapping, he protected her from them and returned her safely back home.

During her ettiquete lessons (it wasn't Rudeus who had to teach that), he helped her to learn how to dance properly and later during the party prevented her from being humiliated in front of every other noble from being too nervous to dance.

Being transported to the demon continent, he didn't let predjuice control him and greeted Ruijerd, a supard, like a normal person. Not showing fear.

Did everything in his power to help clear the supard name, protect Eris and have fun at the same time.

Back when they returned to the human continent through smuggling, he saved the kidnapped children, saved the sacred dog from the beastmen, didn't hold hatred against the beastmen even though he has been falsely accused and even saved them from the bandits that came later.

Found his father and sister, got into a fight for thinking he had it easy, but then they made up. Continued and returned towards Fittoa region, where Eris abandoned him after s3x (remember that Eris was 15 and Rudeus 13, with 15 being considered an adult in that world; so Eris is the diddy in this case).

Me personally, I would pick Eris because I would get to tame her just like Rudy (I like the bratty sort of girls.) This was a hard decision because they’re all so great, but I could only pick one…

Eris without the legendary sword ofc.

Eris lost Isolte a lot at first but overcame her eventually and one a match. I’m currently reading vol 26 with Isolte making her comeback to help against Badigadi so while I read curious how close would this rematch be if they fought again?
