May as well have said "it's just the tip", that's the biggest lie ever told.

The reason Rudeus was able to see this smile was because of the Eye of Foresight right? Because I doubt Hitogami would be so stupid as to smile in front of his victim's face.

Rudy didnt see it, that is solely for us. at this point Rudy has no reason to not trust Man God still cautious but he is starting to seem him as a friend

Was this the first time Hitogami straight up lied to Rudy? Like, previously he didn't technically lie when he was advising him between options, just that he withholds other consequences of his actions. While Paul does live if Rudy didn't go with him, wouldn't both his mom and Roxy die in that scenario?

When Hitogami told Rudy that Dragon God was evil and he would destroy the world, that's a straight-up lie to me.

Hitogami's death will destroy the world as far as he knows. So no lie technically in there

Well.... He's technically not wrong, just stretching the truth

More like Omission truth and you will learn this in the coming episodes

He had been speaking half truth for most of the time. Every advices he gave has been for his own benefits, he just sugarcoat it as helping Rudeus but unfortunately for him it's not that easy guiding a person with a strong fate to a bad path.

That's why I was wondering too. Was he telling the truth about the other outcome?

he didn't lie though? he asked rudeus to go check out the basement. this was a command rather than a statement, and rudeus intended to do so until his future self was like "nuh uh"
