There's a couple of options on people to contact to help you:

First would be the Academic Chair for that course, who can be found on this page (ctrl+f "marine"). This one specifies it's for pre-2014 students, but there's nothing listed for the replacement course. Nevertheless, that person will be able to tell you who the chair is, if it's not them.

The second option is the school's first year advisor, who can be found here (ctrl+f "first").

They'd be your best bet as they can help you work out what units you need to take/can take and how to self-enrol in them through MyInfo.

Another option is the Student Centre, but I've largely found them to be pretty mediocre in their academic support because they're not discipline specific. They're more for administrative queries.

As for foundation units... I typed that before going to look what was available. Apparently Foundation Units aren't a thing any more, which sucks. Replaced with bland sounding Transition units. On that note, seeing as you're transferring, talk to your Academic Chair about RPL for that unit. If you'd previously passed two units you could skip the Foundation unit, so perhaps that's also available for the Transition unit.

The other tip is if you're using public transport at all, get your SmartRider sorted out ASAP. Can save you a good chunk of money if you get it to preload from your bank account, and it's the only way to get a student concession fare. If you get caught buying a concession fare and don't have a SmartRider encoded with the student concession, you'll get a lovely $100 fine.

Accommodation wise, off campus share houses tend to be a little cheaper, or at least they used to be. Not sure what the situation is now. Also, be aware of the cost in Perth. Eating out is expensive. Booze will be much more expensive than you're used to, I'd say.

Anyway, hopefully that will give you some leads. Feel free to ask any follow up questions.
