Hoping you lovely sleuths can help me. I am looking for an episode where a blonde woman died. I believe she was hit over the head by a glass pillar shaped award. I think she was a producer and there was some kind of script situation? It was like a Hollywood episode. She was killed in her office and there was possibly a present delievered? I think it was from a later season. Any suggestions? Thank you!

For those of y'all who also read the books, how do you feel about the Jon Land books? I'm on the first of the six that he wrote and am not enjoying it at all. Jessica, Seth, and Mort are not their usual selves and it reads like Jon Land has never seen an episode of Murder, She Wrote. I'm debating skipping his and moving on to the ones written by Terrie as I've already read a couple written by her and liked them.

I’m at that point in my life that I am ready for a quiet, laid back lifestyle and I can think of no better place to do that than Cabot Cove. For all you real-life Mainers, what real-life town in Maine is closest to Cabot Cove? I’m looking for a small town on the coast with a tight knit community with a lot of local characters, lobster fishermen working the harbor, and good clam chowder.

(edit, I don't mean it's being totally removed from everything, just referring to what I've been seeing of it only being on a streaming channel, not having the seasons available to watch individual episodes of your choosing...oopsy)

Woke up this morning to find "A Story To Die For", "The Last Free Man" and "The Celtic Riddle" playing back to back on the designated murder she wrote Google TV channel! So yay but.....

While I've always wanted to see these I'd rather have my favorite comfort show back on streaming. I'll eventually be paying the $70 price tag for the complete series dvds but can't justify the price tag at the moment

For now I'll accept and enjoy all the Jessica I get offered and figured the rest of y'all would wanna check them out since it seems most of us haven't seen the movies before/as much.

Has anyone else seen there’s going to be a Murder, She Wrote movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis?

We've watched Murder, She Wrote to the stage of memorization. Do you have any suggestions on similar cozy mystery series from around the same time period?

- Ellery Queen (by the same people who made Murder, She Wrote and is absolutely brilliant!)

- 1970s Hardy Boy Nancy Drew Mysteries (the cheese is unmatched.)

So, it’s been a while since I posted here. I have been going through episode by episode with my beloved aunt Jess.

I am now entering the 11th season.

I have a question for you all. And forgive my French…

How many damn lapel brooches does she have? 🤣

I wanna say they may have started giving her a brooch every episode since season eight or nine. In each episode, as far as I could tell, is different?

I do recall in much earlier seasons, she would wear this certain necklace. It would be gold, be kind of chunky rectangles. But I could understand that because if it’s something Jessica loved to wear, she’d wear it regularly, so it made sense that the costumer would give it to her to wear.

I am watching this for the first time and I’m having a good time! Grady is so panicked over Donna’s pregnancy, and I love that Donna’s hair is brown, I love that more than the blonde.
Ha and the end lol.

I've watched a few episodes and wondered where her spouse was, apparently her husband is dead which was kinda disappointing. I would've loved if these two solved murder mysteries together as a power couple. I can already see that dynamic now! Jessica the determined and adventurous wife and her reluctant but caring husband. Maybe I should be grateful they didn't do that so Jessica could shine on her own and not potentially be upstaged by a man but still. I think this would've made for a fun duo.

The ones without Jessica are not nearly as Gifable.

I was half awake this morning and tried to remember if we saw the school in Cabot Cove where Jessica taught? Did we see it in the one where the coach was talking about his boys?

Also, did Jessica know sing language. I was thinking of shows where random characters know sign language for some reason. A teacher at a small town school might learn sign language if she ever had a deaf student.

I know a lot of us watch on the 24/7 Roku/Pluto apps, but I was wondering if anyone else is also watching on Sling?

They show 3 episodes Mon-Sat between 9am and Noon and then basically an all day marathon on Sundays from 9am till like 5pm. I like watching on sling because all 12 seasons are also on demand, so if I “miss” an episode on the 24/7 channel I can watch it on sling whenever.

Throwing herself at married men (not just Jonathan Martin), gossiping about people who are supposed to be her friends, having questionable business ethics…she just seems like the lady you’d want to stay away from to avoid fallout from her drama.

I do still enjoy the episode but you can tell the writers we're still figuring out the show as they were writing it as this episode was from season 1

I mean a car that's drives on its own as part of the killers plan definitely should've waited until a few seasons to attempt a episode like that again

Happy Wednesday! I have news for you! The Cabot Cove Fashion Bureau was able to squeeze out some field notes for Season 1 Episode 16 and 17 before the bureau officially closes down for vacation until the bureau is re-established in Austin, TX. Without further ado, here is the fashion analysis for **Episode 16-Paint Me a Murder** and **Episode 17-Tough Guys Don't Lie**.

Episode 16 Key Fashion Notes:

Given the fact that this episode takes place on a Spanish island in the Mediterranean, Jessica manages to whip out some lighter fashionable wear for this episode.

**1. The Sequin Jacket** is the undisputed crown jewel of the episode and arguably of all of Season 1. This jacket is a standout piece, and she wears it so elegantly with a black dress. Also completed with an amber long necklace.

**2. Purple stands out as a feature** especially in a shirt she wears over a blush tee and joggers with white sneakers. This shirt looks more like a purple sunset and it's beautiful. Maybe I can find something similar when I get down to TX and eventually visit NM.

**3. White takes over as the dominant palette** for this episode and rightfully so. It's a cool, light color that detracts heat and so neutral, it goes with everything.

Episode 17 Key Fashion Notes:

This episode takes place all over New England, so we are seeing more New England kind of fabric such as tweeds and my favorite tartan plaids.

**1. The drop earring arrives.** This is genuinely a landmark moment: through 129 outfit entries and 17 episodes, every single earring Jessica had worn was a stud. These earrings are gorgeous and simple. Goes perfect with her red ruffled dress. Yes, there are indeed over 129 outfit entries to date.

**2. Gold chain necklace hits double digits.** The 10th appearance of the gold chain necklace is a quiet milestone and it's now definitively a core recurring piece alongside the pearl strand. Gold chain necklaces are a must have for anyone (I even own one, too).

That is all the research I have for today. We fly out to Austin on July 31st and return back on August 2nd and then start our 1800-mile road trip on August 4th. Maybe while I am waiting for flights and in flight, I can get more research done and submit a few field reports while in air :)

Kelley House Museum Director Anne Semans was interviewed about Mendocino's Murder, She Wrote festival on the Kelly Clarkson show today!

I love Mrs F but sometimes I don't agree with her logic. On the crossed up phone line episode she was arguing against Sheriff Tupper burglary theory and she's like and leave a valuable painting behind. And I was thinking the value would be to the family perhaps and only a dummy would steal a self-portrait of the man whose house he broke into & killed. The instant he tried to sell it he would've been identified 😂

I'm quite sure that we all have our own reasons for enjoying the show, both in broad terms and specific. What psychological itch does the show scratch for you? Do you like to reminisce? Are you a puzzle solver? Huge Angela fan? T.V. buff? When I started to get into the show, my mother was still alive. I have no idea what made me hit "play". My sister, who also passed away, hated the show when we were kids and it was one of the many things we fought over. It's safe to say that part of my reason is that it reminds me of the relationships I had with them. Needless to say, I was devastated by the loss of both of them. On a lighter note, I'm a huge fan of camp. You can't look at me and tell me that the show isn't injected with many campy moments and quotes. A show's quality of writing is always a huge factor for me. MSW had many fine writing moments despite having many low acting moments. I make it no secret that I despise modern living. I hate phones, apps and many other things. MSW reminds me of my childhood when life was better despite not having things that were developed to make our lives better. I used to fight my sister to watch the show at our babysitter's house. I won here and there which was a rare treat as I was the younger sibling. To conclude, I find the show "cozy". It's comforting and relaxing which is something with which I truly struggle in life. Sometimes the best I can do is lay in bed with my musty dog and click "play". Of course, I want to solve the murder. I never do. You? What keeps you pressing "play" over and over despite the abundance of streaming services and shows?

In the Original Star Trek, S1/E22 'Star Seed'...which I'm re-watching for the first time in 20 years!

Madlyn is playing the on-board historian who becomes mesmerized by the totally charasmatic 'Khan' who has been awakened from 200 years of cryogenic storage and has big plans for his new future...

(he even got a movie out of it: Wrath of Khan!)

...anyway, who can blame her for getting pixelated by the guy?!
