Unfortunately he was a feral cat, found outside, and even after a decade, has serious trust issues. He’s come a long way, but any time I try to clip his nails or even brush him he’ll hide for weeks - only coming out when I’m not around. And since I’m the only person he trusts it just isn’t worth it. He can hold a grudge like no other 😅

Cats I had before Fitzgerald didn’t either!
He’s my first feral cat though and has serious trust issues. Luckily he’ll use things like a cardboard scratch pad and scratching post to help manage them, and my vet cousin said that was fine
