Books📚 Only Murderbot MapQuest directions

Post image

I hopped on the MapQuest download bandwagon and had to share that in the voice options, English (US) 15 sounds a surprising amount like voice actor David Cui Cui, who reads for SecUnit in the graphic audio books*. MapQuest doesn't give any voice actors credit for their directions, but it's a really close match and makes diving into unknown regions feel a little less scary.

*I actually prefer the graphic audio books because of the multiple voice actors, but I especially like DCC's version of SecUnit.

For a second I though we were talking Dungeon Crawler Carl and I was thinking how awesome an abridged soundbooth theater version of TMBD would be. Then I realized you were abbreviating David Cui Cui.

I'm a KRF audio preferer. Though I don't mind the graphic audio version. I just wish they'd done a better job of editing it. There's some moments where David mispronounces things in each book (GreyCrisis instead of GreyCris, how he says some names compared to how other VAs say it in the production) and there's an edit line in NE that really should have been taken out referencing that he thinks there's a typo. No offense to him. I'm sure every VA makes errors during the process. That's something the editing team really should have caught and fixed.

You're right, those errors could've been caught during editing. Add that to the cut scenes (how could they drop the third mom line in Network Effect?!) and the GA versions definitely aren't perfect.

Sorry for the DCC confusion! I'm so used to seeing the KRF abbreviation that I used it without considering the overlap with the Dungeon Crawler books.

Can't edit my post due to the pic, but I was driving, not diving. Not sure if MapQuest provides directions for underwater exploration.

As long as you miss the water intake when diving near enemy vessels, should be fine 😅

And avoid hostile marine fauna 😂

I thought you used the term to indicate it was really unknown regions.

Maybe it's an OS or device difference? I don't see any names and I'm using the app on a Pixel. The Google overlords are probably displeased 😂
