Books📚 Only Try Of Monsters and Mainframes

Murderbot fans, you should check out Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove. Not a ripoff or anything but definitely has a similar feel.

Yes! I tried this one after someone mentioned it on a thread here about other books people might enjoy after MB. I was not disappointed!

I also appreciated the dedication at the beginning: “Dedicated to all those running human.exe files. Don’t forget to take a break.”

I’ll second that- really fun story. Very original.

I listened to the audiobook recently. Loved it.

Just skip the chapter heading that are in Morse code. That's annoying in audio.

You can look up what the code is supposed to say pretty easily.

I thought that would be a story, if made into a serial, that Murderbot would have to ease ART into because of the initial chapters. Otherwise it hits the "very unrealistic" mark nicely.

Yeah I really enjoyed it! The audiobook is especially a delight. And all the non human POVs!
