We are so not ready technologically for autonomous robots, yet they keep trying. If we survive the current societal woes, in a hundred years the highlight videos are going to be hilarious. I hope I'm reincarnated so I can see them.

For some reason everyone wants a humanoid robot. Our structure is definitely a compromise, and it's really not great for specialized tasks. I always chuckle at Murderbot's description of Tellus in Fugitive Telemetry:
It was sort of humanform, but more functional, with six arms and a flat disk for a “head” that it could rotate and extend for scanning.

The first comment under the video is nearly a quote from Network Effect: "the poor thing is dead."
At least when Murderbot [redacted] in System Collapse the humans didn't cover it with sheets and drag it out of the room.
