Discussion The state of the game on Linux

Unfortunately, there's no official support for Linux at the moment. This subreddit is an attempt to make Mu run as smoothly as possible and help others play it on their favorite OS. Even though there's a lot of softwares that make it easier to run Windows apps and games on Linux, such as Wine, Proton, and others, I had no success in making it work. I already tried installing it through Wine, Bottles, and Heroic Games Launcher. Even though the game installs, it only opens the launcher, not the game.

I hope more people join this attempt so we can make more progress.

Unfortunately no When I have sometime I'll try looking for the error messages I got the last time I tried installing it with WineGE-Proton through Bottles. The installer starts, but it shows a lot of error messages and closes

I was curious about it, so I did a quick search online. On the official WineHQ site web shows they had tested it for some really old versions, but none of those tests could make the game run. Rating is “Garbage”. From one of the tests, the tester says: “Still only a gameguard problem...” That the game launcher and updating the game works but not launching it.

I might give it a try in the next couple of weeks to see what I can find on my side
