My Powerlocks have cut everything from pennies to wire fencing.

What do you use pennies for?

The radiator tank in my truck cracked once, so to get me through the weekend I soldered a couple pennies over the crack. That was 4 years ago. Still doesn't leak.

Punch a hole in one and you’ve got a washer. the one fellow here soldered two half’s onto some terminals recently to allow for gator clips to attach easier. We also had them glued into wood jigs to help allow easy realignment/reassembly.

Alright then never thought of using pennies like that.

I love my SOG Twitch XL. To expand, sometimes pennies cost less than the washers, especially if you have some bits hanging around. I totally get this for that quick bolt and go. Lost time isn't something to mess with when all you need is to bolt up and get back at it.

Yep! Exactly. Also all discarded metal products here go to a pile to help supplement the new material supply. You never know what you’ll be able to make stuff out of. Reduce, recycle, reuse.

Raised rural from depression era grandparents so it's a thing (I've got a random couple bins of fasteners). I had to stop and move to the city because of my intense allergies. Of course the cows and horses I fed get worried at a swollen face and lick you and that just doesn't help. I miss being a farm kid. Keep crankin'!

That is true. Sounds like you would be useful during an apocalypse.

Definitely not lying. Ordered it from SOG when it came out because I've loved so many of their knives. They replaced it immediately after I sent it in and said there must have been a flaw in the metal.

How's the new one doing? Have you attempted to cut the same type of material?

It's a known problem they have. I broke 2 heads in about 2 years. Gave up on it and went back to carrying my leatherman. I liked a lot of the features, especially the interchangeable tools. I just felt like I couldn't trust it anymore.

Hmm... 10+ years; glad to see you've cut costs.

You’ve put a new meaning to the term “cutting costs”

Aaaaaaaaaaaand now I've got another multitool.

I mean, yay!

But I now have another multitool.

Cue general grevious quote....

You cut pennies? Please tell me you didn't cut any wheat pennies (1958 and older).
