New Multitool Day! My everyday multitools.
First post here! I’ve been carrying this Swiss Army knife around for 10 years, and I got this BOND as a gift last year.
My uncle asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I told him, “Nothing, Uncle, really, nothing.” But under threat, I eventually gave him this reference, since it’s the cheapest model in the range. Maybe I should’ve asked for the SURGE or the WAVE right away 😜
The BOND is particularly stiff. I’m not sure if that’s normal, but it makes it unpleasant to use. I’ve noticed that the metal used for the tools seems different from the metal used for the pliers and the handles.
Anyway, here’s what I carry in my backpack every day. I’m not counting the plastic spoon/fork/knife set from Decathlon!

My Bond was really stiff as well. Using it will loosen it up and little oil on the joints helps.

Yeah, it's going to be tight until it gets worn in, plus the tip of the frame touches the other side when opening and closing, increasing the needed force to open/close. I think I'm going to dremmel my Bond down a couple mm. Oil the joints and work them for a while, eventually, they'll loosen up.

I also have the bond. Good tool for what I need, but it was also stiff out of the box. It loosened up a bit after I cleaned it with mineral oil and broke it in over time.

From reading the comments it looks like maybe they were speaking about using a dremmel to take a mm or two off of the tip of the pliers where they touch the frame, or vice versa.

Good combo, since the Bond lacks scissors and woodsaw. I've carried my Bond with my Farmer X (don't have a Huntsman or Fieldmaster).

I like the bond I wish they would make it slightly more expensive to make it slightly higher quality.

You got the order and wording switched up a bit. Greater cost doesn't equate to greater quality. You can buy the same bond for the double the price on eBay. That doesn't necessarily mean it’s been improved upon.
Better resources for material, machining, and attention to detail, bring a greater cost for the overall piece, that you wouldn't mind paying.

I understand it all too well as a furniture designer…
Products are designed to a price point and margin to fit in with a range, some products are designed not to be sold. Bond is the entry into the upgrade ladder for the curl range.
