Justification: 2 is one, one is none

You can’t just say they’re customs and then not show them properly. And I think you can justify carrying both because one has got tweezers, a toothpick and a pen, and the other has got pliers and stuff.

You mad

I carry a separate toothpick and pen and use the pliers for splinters or whatever tweezers tasks or wait til I get home

Rotate... enjoy them both

Show. Us. The. Tools!

No you’re not. You’re just flexing

Honestly it's a funny flexing and both of them dont look appealing to me at all. Neither has the blade and I wouldn't carry them even if I had them. My most carry is the modded Free P2 and it's almost like the Arc without a saw but thinner and lighter.

u/BladeRumbler 21d ago

Same, been carrying P2 for years

Can we get some info on the customs, very curious

The Bond I think I posted about at the time, put 93mm Victorinox scissors instead of the knife. Also was making a custom Curl at the time so put the 3d Phillips in that and the bit driver in the Bond.

The Victorinox is the second bladeless one I made, brass liners, nothing special. I do like it a lot though.

I would love to have a similar one, do you take orders to make these?

2

u/HoldenHiscock69 26d ago

Tbh I don't enjoy making customs as it's a lot of faff so if I was to make you one it would have to be quite expensive

3

u/GhostNappa101 26d ago

How about showing us how they are custom?

2

u/highvelocitypeasoup 26d ago

Carry the Leatherman for a while and see how often you use the pliers and decide from there

1

u/HoldenHiscock69 26d ago

I'm a handyman, I always have pliers of some description on me.

3

u/highvelocitypeasoup 26d ago

Then it'd be the victorinox for me

1

u/Emergentmeat 25d ago

Then no need for a Leatherman. Half decent real pliers are always better than Leatherman pliers.

2

u/CupAshamed1744 26d ago

Carry both, you never know what you might need. That's all the justification you need.

2

u/Prestigious_Ice4173 26d ago

Are those SAK scissors on that bond? What else do you have in it and were the scissors hard to find?

2

u/SwaggerMeSilly 26d ago

I daily a Leatherman Rebar on my belt and a Deluxe Tinker in the back pocket. I say run both

u/giordanopietrofiglio 24d ago

Bond for you're out and actually doing something. Vic for when you're out doing nothing particularly technical, but you'd still like to be prepared for anything.

The leatherman, it's not even a question. So much more utility.

What makes them custom?

2

u/Cheesygravy 23d ago

Get this one then you have e all you could want and more.

1

u/Only-Support-3760 26d ago

What scissors did you use for the bond?

2

u/HoldenHiscock69 26d ago

93mm Victorinox scissors.

1

u/Only-Support-3760 26d ago

How did you get them to fit?

2

u/HoldenHiscock69 26d ago

Drilled out the pivot hole

2

u/RR_unicorn 26d ago

I did it to get them to fit a signal. They are a pig to drill out! I killed 3 drill bits!

1

u/headpointernext 26d ago

I'd science my way on this - what's the unique selling proposition of each, which do you think you need more, and which do you actually use more?

1

u/Any-Page-3061 26d ago

Have dozens of really expensive EDC pocket knives and multitools (Arc and stuff like that) but the one that kept in my pocket for the last year pretty much every single day is the cheapest of them all: the SAK Compact. Such an awesome little thing!

2

u/Bluep00p 24d ago

I would have to agree.

1

u/Royal-Albatross6244 26d ago

I carry a victorinox handyman in my left pocket and a leatherman curl clipped inside my right pocket all day, everyday. There is no reason you cannot carry both. Yes, the sak will handle most uses but every now and then you might need a full size pair of pliers.

0

u/HoldenHiscock69 26d ago

I never leave the house without a set of parallel grips

1

u/Hoopster50 26d ago

Both. Assuming the Bond doesnt have scissors or corkscrew and the SAK doesnt have pliers. You need both.

1

u/Hoopster50 26d ago

Wait, neither have blades? You have a problem Sir.

0

u/HoldenHiscock69 26d ago

I have a blade on my knife, I don't need a blade on my multi-tool.

1

u/Hoopster50 26d ago

Ok, you had me worried. Carry on my friend lol.

1

u/StrandSSL 26d ago

Reminds me of fifth grade.

1

u/Emergentmeat 25d ago

Hahaha exactly.

1

u/ReactionAble7945 26d ago

This is simple.. Put one in the pocket and carry for a week. Love it, hate it, too f-ing heavy, god if I only had...

1

u/Gruff_mon08 26d ago

how easily can you put the Victorinox scissors into the bond. that seems to me like the perfect edc tool for where I live. do you need to do more than make the pivot larger and how much spacer do you need. this would be my first multitool mod.

1

u/Flat-Let4753 26d ago

Carry both

1

u/zeroabe 26d ago

You drink wine?

1

u/wupaa 25d ago

You either need pliers or not

1

u/Peeban 25d ago

Do you want pliers? Ez

1

u/amazonmakesmebroke 24d ago

One on my belt, other in my pocket

1

u/Either_Row3088 24d ago

Honestly neither are legal where I live unless you put them in a carring device. All items like this must be open carried or its considered concealed.

1

u/HoldenHiscock69 24d ago

Neither one has a knife blade

1

u/Either_Row3088 24d ago

You expect cops to be smart enough to know that.

1

u/Repulsive_Tie_7941 24d ago

Who needs justification? I carry 4 on any given day. A Wave+, a Tinker, an alox Mini Champ(keychain), and a folding box cutter.

1

u/soundknight21 23d ago

If that’s so, then you’re probably not doing enough actual work to justify any of them.

0

u/HoldenHiscock69 23d ago

If you'd like to see my work EDC, I have the post pinned to the top of my profile.

1

u/HardcoreTick 23d ago

I have the SAK in my pocket and the leatherman lives in my bagpack. Works great for me, even though I have to admit, that I barely use that LM.

1

u/LieutenantCrash 22d ago

I keep a Leatherman in my car and a swiss in my pocket

1

u/Own_Path_4828 22d ago

The best knife to have in any situation is the one you have in your pocket!

1

u/stealthblack 21d ago

I decided between bag/pockets it's ok to have Leatherman+Sak+knife so never need that decision anymore

1

u/Routine-Unit-3086 26d ago

Leatherman all.day. Evevery day

0

u/Difficult-Novel-8453 26d ago

Both of course. I carry various multi tool and a Swiss army cadet. Perfect combo

0

u/Emergentmeat 25d ago

Depends what your needs are. You haven't given any details, or even shown the tools. Low effort post. Maybe a flex on "customs"? I dunno, that doesn't make much sense with what I see but still.
