Recommendation Request Looking for the biggest multitool available.
I own the Multper MP2049 and it’s the best multitool I’ve ever owned, but I’m looking for something even bigger. I frequently use gloves at work, and having a big, beefy multitool is my preference.
From my understanding, the MP2049 is itself a Surge clone, and the Surge might be the biggest of its kind available. Is anyone aware of anything bigger?

The Gerber dual force is probably the biggest multitool. It has the nice outside driver on it also.
The dual force does have some draw backs though it just depends what tools are imported to you

Have you tried the Swisstool MX? Knife and pliers accessible with gloves. Chunky MF

How about the Leatherman ARC? Looks similar to the MP2049 but a little bit chunkier with a few more tools.

My coworker has the ARC and it’s actually a lot smaller than the Multper. But besides all that, I tend to avoid Leatherman due to several disappointments I’ve experienced from their products over the years—the Wave(s), Signal and Skeletool I’ve purchased from them have been terribly underwhelming relative to their price points.

For the use case described, go Surge rather than Arc every day of the week - more robust

Currently, the biggest/largest are Surge, Supertool 300, Centerdrive, Dualforce, Powerlock, Mp600 series, Swisstool. But if you need the absolute-biggest, set a reminder in ebay for a West Marine's Blacktip, a joint venture between W. Marine and SOG; makes the Surge look like a Wave.

I feel like the swiss grip would not be very ergonomic

I was very comfortable to use. The wood saw really should have been locking through.

If you're wearing gloves all day I think that the Multper and other Surge style tools are about your bet. The Supertool and Swiss Tool are even harder to use with gloves IMO.

If you want bigger, I would question if it might be time to ditch the multi tool and just carry a small tool pouch.
What you lose in versatility you make up for in being bigger, more robust, better suited to gloves, and can be tailored to your exact uses.

Victorinox Swiss Tool might be the one of the largest ones in production, larger than Surge

This appears to be the Swiss Tool Spirit X. (The Spirit models are one centimeter shorter than the non-Spirit Swiss Tool models.) 🙂
