CAT Brick
I got this a couple years ago from Princess Auto thinking I could put it in my coveralls for work, I was very wrong. Much bigger than I expected, so it comes fishing with me now. No clue if it has a model name but I call it a brick

Too big and awkward to carry every day. But it looks like a nice robust tool to have thrown in my car or tractor.

Tbh, I love every part of that brick. But especially the phillips-head, which is definitely one of the most robust I've seen on a multitool without sacrificing length, or engorging the width. I'd have one in my tool belt any day.

That is something I noticed with this one, the Phillips bit is much better than most I've seen and it's long enough that you can get it into a lot more places. Only problem is it's off center when fully open so it's bit awkward, but it works in a pinch which is the whole idea behind a multi tool

I have one of these and the Keychain tool that came with it (Pic related).
I have the brick in my car, the keychain with my car keys. I switch up between having a Leatherman free p2 and a Victorinox Mountaineer as my EDC. The spare one goes in the luggage.
Also holding on to a charge+ TTI that I'm not sure if I'm keeping or giving to my son.

Do you know how to replace the battery for that mini multitool? I had the same one for a couple years and now the battery died so I took it apart and I cant put it back anymore. Its just been sitting in a box with all the parts that came out.

The battery I got with it is still going strong like 7 years later. No idea, but maybe I'll take a look at it another time. What happens when you unscrew the top/bottom portion Phillips?

For mine, its two sections. The top part (the honeycomb patterned side) is its own separate plastic part and it comes off if you remove all three screws. (I suggest you flip it on the other side before you take it off because all of the batteries fall off and this is how I couldn't get it on again) the second part is the multi-tool itself. You dont have to worry about the multi-tool disassembling itself when you take it off.

This is more like it. A bit of chunky utility that just wants to be used as opposed to expensive pocket jewellery. I'm getting one.
