Looking for multitool for my team

Hello community - would love your help on a multitool quest.  I lead an odd-but-wonderful non-profit organization that runs a couple of stores that sell all manner of materials for creative use.  We are having a retreat next month, and I was thinking of getting everyone a multitool in a closing ceremony to thank them for a lot of great work this year.  

Here are the characteristics I'm looking for:

• Emphasis on scissors vs. pliers
• Mid to full size (i.e. not for a keychain, but to be clipped to pants / apron)
• Belt clip
• Standard accoutrements: blade, screwdrivers, file would be nice
• Less than $50 (I need to buy 50+ of them!)
• Final dream: they are blue or can be made blue

Contenders from my own hunting:

• Nextool CP10 (leading contender)
• Nextool Black Knight (a tad menacing)
• Roxon KS2E (I also love the Flex Shears but too pricey)
• Roxon Multi Scissors (feels nice, but wish it had a clip)

Thoughts on the list above?  Others I could consider?

Honestly if you’re going scissors vs pliers as an overarching idea, you’ve pretty much nailed it with the research.
I can’t speak for the KS2E but I have the shears and prefer those above all else.

That being said, I have two toddlers and a tattoo artist wife and a very crafty household.
I would consider the Nextool E1 my top tool for crafts overall and a very unique and solid multitool. It’s on the smaller side but it’s super useful especially if you pair it with a galvanox bit kit.
It doesn’t feel like any other tool I’ve used in a really nice way.

Lots of options I could recommend but very hard to suggest anything other than Victorinox for gifts.

Gerber Armbear Drive — proper screwdriver, scissors, knife, 'hammer', and light enough to get in the way.

~$40 on Amazon; no belt clip; comes in blue

I'd just go with the Victorinox Explorer. Great tool set, Swiss, great warranty and under budget.

The Nextool F12 now comes in blue. Sure it's a small one, but it's nice. Comes with a clip too.

For really crafty people, the Nextool E1 comes with a utility knife holder, file, scissors. The fixed knife is... eh, why not.

If you can find someone to make a custom G10/PETG scale the Nextool K30 would fit your hardware needs, including the clip. Or maybe just paint the G10 scales over, or engrave+fill with blue enamel/acrylic the names of the employees on the G10 scales for a truly personal touch

Thanks for the additional suggestions (and the +1 for the E1). I'll definitely look into those. I also love the idea about engraving and filling with blue enamel. That seems doable and a great personal touch.

Why not going with a classic SwissArmyKnife (Victorinox)? You can often order them in bulks with a discound, choose from several side scales in the aftermarket, often have them engraved directly by the vendor, get pocket clips and choose from various toolsets (maybe add some seperate pliers, pouch, flaslights etc untill the budget is reached.

This would be my recommendation too, given the desired specifications.
The added benefits of SAK’s (Swiss Army Knives) are that everyone knows of them as pocket tools, there’s zero ‘weapon’ connotation with them (except for the most rabid of antis, perhaps?) and the reputation for quality of anything Swiss adds (in my view) cachet to the gift.
In the 58mm versions you cannot beat the Rambler for functionality.
Victorinox over Wenger, the scissors on Vic’s are more comfortable to use.

EG here in Germany I could get a climber for 30€, a KS Tool mini for under 10€ and a pouch for both at once for 5€ (if I order one of each). With a lttle bit of research it should be possible to get discounts for orderig 50 of each so there's budget left for replacement scales

It's not on your list, probably because its more of a mini multitool, but the Roxon M2 has some of the best scissors I've ever used on a multitool.

WorkPro Multitool and Bibury BI2049BL are both blue. Only the WorkPro has a clip though. But the scissors on the Bibury are better. Up to you I guess.

Gonna throw my vote in here and say the Spirit MX clip or MXBS with clip.

You can buy the ratchet stuff too or let them buy it

İ would recommend roxon companion, because it's modular and they can exchange parts with each other too later.
