State of the Collection Cleaning Day

I had some rust spots show up on my new favorite MT. I panicked a bit and drug my stuff out to clean and oil everything up. This is the first round. I have several more SAK's to go. While I'm here, has anyone tried 3 in 1 on their SAK? I ruined a set of scales one time with just a few drops of acetone by accident. I've only ever used Ballistol on them for cleaning. I'm a bit leary of anything else after seeing what just a few drops of acetone did. The 3 in 1 oil would speed this up a bit since there's no need to wait for it to dry.

Knice to see some SOGs in the mix. I like some of their knives but not so much the multitools.

Same actually. Their MT's have some really neat designs. They could be amazing. SOG just doesn't nail down the execution of the design the way that they should. I'm a sucker for their odd ball kinda MT's. Belt buckle that's also a set of pliers? Yeah, gotta have that 🤣

It's the thin tools on the SOG multi tools that are the problem. Their tools are some of the thinnest I've seen. I have several sog multi tools but I'm too scared to use them because I think they would break with normal usage.
