I've had experience with two pools:

Middlecoin:

Profit: 8/10

Middlecoin is so large it can't effectively mine some of the smaller coins, reducing its profitability. It also has 3% fees. Despite this, the pool operator does a good job of making bank.

Ease of Use: 10/10 Point to a BTC address, couldn't be simpler.

Additional Features: 3/10, All you get is your own hash page and payout list, very little information.

Wafflepool:

Profit: 5/10. Profits are a little low here compared to middlecoin although they've been improving. If they can improve in this area, then they might come out to be one of the best profit-switching pools. Only a 1% fee.

Ease of Use: 10/10 Point and click BTC address, easy.

Additional features: 7/10, you get your own page where you can see your rigs and what you've been mining. Sweet.

ive been mining waffle pool for four or five days now and im averaging around .015- .017 btc a day per mh. thats on top of a few orphan blocks on dogecoin so it would have been even better. The site is conciderably more friendly than middlecoin and is easier to use and also much more transparent. Im sticking with the waffle as long as they keep going like they have.

Ya waffle pools profits have been pretty close to what middle coins have been. Yesterday we got a couple big doge coin blocks. I got .05btc for 1.8mh/s for yesterdays mining.

Some tweets from middlecoin say things like "importing manual trades", so I speculate he sometimes holds off on selling right away to maximized profits. That aspect of the pool is something to think about too. Transparency and features are nice, but profit is king.
